Conversion borne Ghoul's & Ghosts

J'ai trouvé le boulot pas mal (hormis les tickets sur les sides).

I've just finished my Dino King conversion, I've seen a few of these done and been impressed with how nicely they can look as little jamma cabs - about the closest thing you can get to a mini cute for under £300



I had a good set of artwork scans for Ghouls n' Ghosts and wanted to stick with a 1-player game that could work well in a mini dedicated cab so it seemed like a good choice.

I got straight in touch with FrancoB as I knew he was working on some very nice conversions to see if he could make new perspex for me. What I was aiming for was the bezel & control panel in 2 pieces each, so I could sandwich artwork between them. A lot of work, but he agreed to 'put them in the queue' :awe:

All the hardware removed and tested to make sure a CPS board would actually fit.


All side art removed


Switcher fitted, tapping 240v from the line filter


Loom fitted


Video wiring done so for the first time I could fire up the cab and see the game. Lovely monitors in these cabs for sure.


I set about making some adjustments to the art to make it fit the cab, and wanted to add a rigid topper similar to the original one.

Printed pieces arrived and looked great!

Today I got the plastics and some buttons & the stick I was waiting on so was able to finish the cab after many months.

And here's the finished cab in all its glory. I'm really pleased with how it turned out, I tried not to cut any corners and make it as good as I could and I hope that shows.

C'est beau, la dino King je connaissais pas, c'est mignon cette borne.

Le gars l' a payé 300£. Comme quoi avec un peu d'astuce et d'espièglerie on peu avoir une belle candy (tain ce slogan, on devrait l'intégrer dans la bannière)

Super mini borne de chez SEGA écran de 14' elle a été déclinée sous trois formes : Mushiking, Dinosaurking, Love and Berry (~2002).
Le principe de jeu : du combat reposant sur pierre papier ciseaux (les trois boutons du panel) avec la distribution de cartes de jeu (à collectionner) d'où la présence du lecteur central, les cartes délivrées en début de partie présentent des personnages avec des caractéristiques propres façon RPG. Les jeux tournent sous Naomi (JVS) et sont protégés par une puce livrée avec chaque paquet de carte. Un gros bide en Europe, par contre au japon...

Donc écran 31k je suppose ? Il faut un CGA to VGA pour faire tourner du 15k dessus. Je vois que FrancoB lui aussi traficote ce joujou :

Ma fille jouait sur les bornes Love and Berry quand elle avait 5ans....... n'oubliez pas de prévoir un petit tabouret pour pouvoir y jouer^^
Sinon, sympa le boulot pour la transformation!

Je rechercherai les liens mais un Anglais avait déjà transformer sa borne Mushi King en Capcom cute sur le même principe ;o)

C'est vraiment bluffant le travail sur ces petites bornes. Ca donne envie de se pencher sur le truc !

A ma grande honte, je dois avouer ne pas avoir prêté une très grande attention aux bornes elles-mêmes... trop peu d'intérêt pour la machine de base et mon attention était plutôt portée sur ma fille^^
Mais comme ça, je n'avais rien vu de spécialement mauvais au niveau de l'affichage.

Sachant que c'est un écran en vga comme sur les bornes de photoplay ça risque pas .

Selon Andygeezer, les ecran 14" des mushiking sont des 15khz, je suivait le topic de vente parce qu'il pouvait éventuellement les vendre sans le system de carte à 200£ la borne et il avait un stock de 6 bornes neuves.
